Desktop or full screen mode?Documentation > Working with CorneliOS > Desktop or full screen mode? CorneliOS and its applications can be either used in desktop or full screen mode. You may switch from one mode to another on the fly. Login & default modeThe full screen mode is the default mode on a CorneliOS installation. You may log into the system here: http://www.example.com/loginFull Screen ModeIn full screen mode you can only have one application at a time in a web browser window. This may be less spectacular than the desktop mode, but in many cases this mode allows for faster work. If you'd like to log into the full screen mode you may also enter the following URL: http://www.example.com/login/fullscreenDesktop ModeIn desktop mode you can have multiple applications in a single web browser window. The browser window looks like a common desktop operating system (you may find elements inspired by Microsoft Windows, Apple MacOS X and other OSes too). If you'd like to log into the desktop mode you may also enter the following URL: http://www.example.com/login/desktopTechnical backgroundCorneliOS applications are so-called "CORA" programs. CORA, the "COrnelios Runtime for Applications", is a framework that easily allows to build web applications. Full screen applications are directly running on the CORA runtime/framework: http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/cora.plThe CorneliOS desktop displays the CORA applications within windows, using DHTML, CSS and Ajax to offer a desktop OS like feeling. These windows contain iFrames that load one CORA runtime for each application. The CorneliOS desktop script can be found here: http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/desktop.pl
