Developing CorneliOS

Documentation > Develop with and for CorneliOS > Developing CorneliOS

CorneliOS is being developed by Joopita Research a.s.b.l, which is a non-profit organisation.

CorneliOS development history

The CorneliOS project has been initiated in 2006 by Jos Kirps who wrote most of the initial code from late 2006 till mid 2008. Until then CorneliOS was mostly used either as a Content Management System (CMS) or as an application framework for community platforms such as the popular Galaxiki site. In mid 2009 the CorneliOS project was relaunched to become a product for end users too. Joopita Research was founded in June 2010 and now manages the further development of the product.

Development details and guidelines

CorneliOS is being developed by Joopita Research and Jos Kirps using agile development methods. CorneliOS is written in Perl, it runs on all BSD/UNIX-like platforms (Linux, MacOS X and many others).
